Valencia was founded as a Roman colony in 138 BC. Over time, it was shaped by Visigothic and Moorish influences, leaving a rich mix of architectural and cultural heritage. Today, Valencia is a vibrant city, renowned for its historic center, beaches, and innovative landmarks like the City of Arts and Sciences.

Valencia was founded as a Roman colony in 138 BC, later influenced by Visigoths and Moors. The city’s historic center still preserves medieval walls, towers, and gates reflecting its rich history.
A modern architectural complex designed by Santiago Calatrava, including an interactive science museum, an opera house, an aquarium, and striking futuristic structures. It represents Valencia’s innovative spirit while attracting millions of visitors.
Las Fallas (March): Monumental sculptures are created and burned in huge celebrations combining art, fire, and fireworks.
Feria de Julio: Summer fair with music, performances, and cultural events.
Valencia also celebrates Semana Santa and other local religious festivals.
Turia Gardens: A former riverbed turned into one of Spain’s largest urban parks, perfect for walking, cycling, or relaxing.

Valencian culture is deeply intertwined with food and social gatherings, where every meal is a chance to experience local traditions and flavors. The city is famous as the birthplace of paella, but its culinary scene also features fresh seafood, rich rice dishes, tapas, and sweet horchata made from tiger nuts.
