Course Summary
This advanced classroom-design course moves participants beyond tool exploration. They redesign a real curriculum unit, decide where AI should support or remain absent, create rigorous differentiated learning, rebuild assessment around authentic evidence, and teach students to verify, disclose and critically use AI.
AI agents are introduced as controlled workflow partners that coordinate planning, resources, feedback and evidence while preserving teacher judgement.
Combining practical tool testing with social innovation projects and ethical reflection, participants will be able to collaborate with European peers to design a coherent AI-enhanced instructional unit.
Course Goals
Learning Outcomes
- Produce a coherent AI-enhanced instructional unit;
- Define where AI is allowed, required or deliberately excluded;
- Create differentiated resources and metacognitive supports;
- Develop authentic assessments, rubrics and AI-use declarations;
- Configure an instructional-design agent with clear boundaries and approved knowledge;
- Teach an age-appropriate student AI-literacy mini-module;
- Develop indicators and an implementation plan for classroom transfer;
- Promote intercultural awareness;
- Transfer and share core values, experiences and effective teaching practices with other teachers and colleagues;
- Improve technical and English language, communication and social skills.
Daily Program
DAY 1
Cross-Cultural Exchange, European Educational Context & Course Orientation
Pre-Session work: Self Preparation to share your school’s context, cultural background and completion of the Cultural Quiz.
- Welcome Session: Networking between participants and Erasmus+ team
- Icebreaking activities and sharing of European core values.
- Open space for participants to share ideas and discuss current challenges in the Education sector; collaborative opportunity to exchange future goals.
- Week briefing and planning.
DAY 2
Curriculum mapping and AI decision rules
- Audit units and map appropriate AI use.
- Classify tasks as AI-supported or AI-free.
- Define agent roles and human approval gates.
- Output: AI-use curriculum map and agent specification.
DAY 3
Differentiation, scaffolding and productive struggle
- Build anonymised learner profiles and support needs.
- Generate adaptive explanations and worked examples.
- Design progressive scaffolds and fading plans.
- Create a differentiated lesson sequence with resources.
DAY 4
Assessment redesign in an AI-rich environment
- Stress-test assessment tasks for AI substitution.
- Rebuild evidence using oral defence and checkpoints.
- Configure feedback agents with strict boundaries.
DAY 5
Student AI literacy, responsible co-creation, unit integration and deployment
- Expose model limitations, bias, and hallucinations.
- Teach verification routines and prompt critique.
- Design safe study-agent guardrails and rules.
- Orchestrate agent workflows with teacher oversight.
- Run failure simulations and fallback drills.
DAY 6
Impact evaluation
- Establish impact indicators and evidence dashboards.
- Course Roundup, Evaluation & Review.
- Erasmus+ documents validation & Certification.
