At Lisbon, "Serra de Sintra" contains a fabulous collection of monuments from a whole host of different epochs, ranging from prehistoric times to the present day. This is a clear demonstration of the region's great respect for other people and its enormous cultural tolerance. Almost as important as the diversity of the monuments is the tremendous environmental wealth of the Serra. Thanks to its unique microclimate, Sintra has some of the most beautiful parks in Portugal, planted in keeping with a certain romantic taste, as well as a dense and verdant natural vegetation, affording the region an air of great majesty amidst the splash of different greens.
Offer of 26 courses, during the whole year, in various distinctive areas
Besides specific professional issues, our courses also contain the development and use of soft skills which intend to facilitate interdisciplinary learning and experimentation supported by contemporary technologies. They are tailored to adjust not only the teacher’s needs, but also the non-teaching staff (i.e. headmasters, project coordinators, HR managers…).
The overarching goal of our courses is the emphasis on transferable skills that can be used directly in teaching and learning situations.
Notice that teachers, trainers, headmasters and any other staff of education organizations are eligible to receive all-inclusive funding by the Erasmus+ (Erasmus Plus) programme - covering travel, board and lodging expenses and course fee - to attend our courses.
Why are our methods excellent?
Our methodology is based on group activities, brainstorming, cooperative learning, simulation and best practices’ exchange, which means sharing and seeking out new knowledge with a special emphasis on the social and cultural dimension of Europe.
Our courses provide cultural visits, practical group work, networking and the last one to the course roundup and review, validation of learning outcomes and certification. We offer full modules for preparation, monitoring and validation.
The trainings are delivered by skillful trainers with experience in the field or in the core knowledge category of the training topic.
Grants and organization. How does it work and how to apply for Erasmus+ funding?
The European Programme Erasmus+ Key Activity 1 is addressed for school teachers, headmasters, inspectors, trainers, training organizations and non-teaching staff across Europe.
The mobility grant’s request are only accepted if they're submitted by each group or individual participant’s school/organisation.

Some general advice to be considered
To apply for funding you need:
EU Login account by which you login to all the online applications,
OID number (Organisation ID) to submit an application,
Erasmus Accreditation: accredited organisations will gain simplified access to KA1 funding opportunities under the future Programme (2021-2027). Deadline for Erasmus Accreditation: 29. 10. 2020 at 12:00 CET.

Course applicants cannot apply for a course in their own country.
You have the opportunity to apply for the grant once a year. Course fees, transportation, meals and accommodation can be covered by the Erasmus+ (Erasmus Plus) programme.
1. If you would like to join us for our courses in your Erasmus+ KA1 application (one or several courses), the first thing to do is to fill out the interest form registration on our website after deciding which courses, dates and locations you would like to apply for, that way you’ll pre-book a place with us and prove established partnership with your national agency.
2. If your organisation does not have a EU Login or isn’t registered in the Education Participant Portal, it must create it, in order to get an OID and PIC number and be able to apply. Follow this process: Organization registration - Education Participant Portal.
3. Project applications are online and must be submitted by your organization directly to the national agency responsible for Erasmus+ in your country. Latest deadline was February 2020. Consult the documents provided by your National agency. Follow their guidelines because they will be the ones to evaluate your application. Note that there are just one or two deadlines each year (usually in February) so don’t miss it!
Organizations can apply for several courses and dates in different locations for just one or two years. Each school can either apply a small amount of teachers or the whole teaching staff. In your application you must apply for a grant for: Course Fees, Organizational Support (pedagogic support, learning outcomes validation and certification), Individual Support (accommodation,meals,local transport) and International Travel (to and from the course location) mobility grants. A draft application form to assist in the preparation of your application is available in the Erasmus+’s website and the application form for 2021 will be available soon in your National Agency. You will then complete the application form and submit it electronically to your national agency, before the deadline.
4. Cross your fingers and check your national agency's webpage for results. Most of the eligible countries publish results in late spring/early summer (May, June).
5. After the national agency has approved your project, you can contact us to confirm your course places and dates. After you receive a grant approval notice, you’ll need to sign a contract with your national agency (it takes around 2 months from grant approval to transfer of grants to your organisation).

My grant was approved, what now?
First of all, congratulations on your approval!
Afterwards, you should contact us to confirm your place. We’ll reply to you immediately and inform you if the chosen course already reached the minimum number of participants for it to be confirmed. As soon as it is, we'll contact you so you can start searching for plane tickets and accommodation. For that, we'll provide all the information you need for accomodation, restaurants, sightseeing, public transportation and organizational support.
We will also send you your invoice: the first signal is 100 euros; and then one month before the course starts we'll contact you for the rest of the transference.
In the last two months before the course starts we enter into more frequent communication and answer all the questions you might have.
Can I apply by myself?
Yes, you can, everyone can apply! We have lots of participants who come as individual participants, and pay the course fees by themselves.
