Course Summary
Artificial Intelligence is no longer a future prospect, it is a current classroom reality. This course is designed to help educators with the tools, skills and ethical frameworks needed to integrate AI into their teaching practice. From automating administrative tasks to creating personalized learning pathways for diverse students, participants will discover how AI can reduce burnout, bridge inclusion gaps and increase pedagogical impact.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Master Prompt Engineering: Learn to communicate effectively with AI to get high-quality educational outputs;
- Automate Administration: Reduce lesson planning and grading time using AI text and quiz generators;
- Enhance Inclusion: Use AI tools to adapt materials for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and language barriers;
- Navigate Ethics: Implement AI safely while respecting GDPR, data privacy, and academic integrity;
- Lead Innovation: Create a long-term AI implementation and dissemination plan for their home institution;
- Tools: Participants will be able to create an AI Teaching Toolkit, ready-to-use lesson plan and Institutional Action Plan;
- Promote intercultural awareness;
- Transfer and share core values, experiences and effective teaching practices with other teachers and colleagues;
- Improve technical and English language, communication and social skills.
Daily Program
DAY 1
Foundations of AI in Education
• Demystifying AI and identifying its relevance in modern European schools.
• Introduction to AI vs. Machine Learning; The current landscape of AI in EU education; Opportunities and risk assessment.
• Practical: Icebreaker "AI in My Classroom"; Initial exploration of generative AI tools.
• Outputs: Personal learning goals and classroom challenge map.
DAY 2
AI Toolkits for Teaching & Content Creation
• Hands-on mastery of materials and lesson preparation.
• AI for automated lesson planning; Content generation (text, quizzes, and visuals); Time-saving strategies for educators.
• Practical: Building a full 60-minute lesson plan and assessment set using specialized AI planners.
• Outputs: A ready-to-use AI-generated teaching portfolio.
DAY 3
Pedagogical Integration & Innovation
• Moving from "tools" to "teaching" through modern methodologies.
• Active and Project-Based Learning (PBL) enhanced by AI; Gamification strategies; Personalized learning pathways.
• Practical: Redesigning a traditional lesson into an AI-enhanced collaborative scenario.
• Outputs: AI-integrated activity plan for student-centered learning.
DAY 4
Inclusion, Ethics & Digital Competence
• Ensuring a responsible and inclusive digital transition.
• AI for SEN students; Bias in algorithms; Data privacy and GDPR; Navigating the DigCompEdu framework.
• Case studies: Ethical dilemma and adapting lessons for inclusive accessibility.
• Outputs: Ethical use checklist and inclusive lesson adaptation.
DAY 5
Implementation, Impact & Dissemination
• Ensuring long-term institutional growth and Erasmus+ compliance.
• Designing a school-wide AI strategy; Measuring impact (KPIs); Dissemination and networking.
• Practical: Finalizing Personal Action Plans; Peer feedback session and presentations.
• Final Work: Official Individual Action Plan and School Dissemination Strategy.
• Course roundup & review; Learning outcomes’ validation.
• Certification Ceremony.
