Course Summary
Connection is at the heart of successful education. In this Erasmus+ training, educators will discover how to build trust and understanding with students, colleagues, and families through intentional, relational communication practices.
Participants will explore the foundations of relational trust, psychological safety in classrooms, and communication habits that strengthen school community bonds. They will also practice strategies for navigating tension, maintaining open dialogue, and building lasting trust even in challenging interactions.
This course focuses on relational dynamics — understanding that every word, gesture, and listening moment can build or weaken trust. Educators will learn how to speak with clarity, empathy, and purpose to foster deeper, more meaningful relationships in their daily practice.
Course Goals
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the emotional foundations of trust in educational settings;
- Identify communication habits that build or erode connection;
- Apply trust-building communication practices with students and teams;
- Manage micro-conflicts before they escalate;
- Foster a school climate based on open, respectful dialogue;
- Promote intercultural awareness;
- Transfer and share core values, experiences and effective teaching practices with other teachers and colleagues;
- Improve technical and English language, communication and social skills.
Daily Program
DAY 1
• Self Preparation for a short School presentation on Day 2
• Cultural Quiz (to be filled out pre-session) • Welcome Session - Networking between participants and Erasmus+ team
• Sharing of European core values
• Open space for participants to share ideas and discuss current challenges in the Education sector; collaborative opportunity to exchange future goals (activity)
• Icebreaking, dinner, week briefing and planning

• Mapping communication flows in school relationships
DAY 3
• Building Trust with Students
• Everyday rituals and habits that foster belonging
• Managing mistakes and maintaining trust
• Building Trust within Staff Teams
• Emotional safety in teacher-teacher communication
• Conflict prevention and early intervention strategies
DAY 4
• Let’s Put Everything to the Test!
• Roleplays simulating relational tensions
