Course Summary
Educators equipped with strong emotional competencies are uniquely prepared to cultivate positive classroom relationships, reduce behavioral disruption, and nurture the holistic socio-emotional development of their students. Teaching extends far beyond cognitive instruction; it requires navigating complex emotional landscapes, managing classroom stress, and modeling emotional self-regulation. Developing emotional intelligence (EQ) enables teachers to foster psychological safety, enhance learner motivation, and prevent vocational burnout.
This course provides educators with essential emotional intelligence tools to transform daily teaching practices. Participants explore self-awareness diagnostics, emotion-regulation techniques, perspective-taking, active listening, non-verbal cues, and constructive feedback frameworks. Through interactive simulations and peer role-playing, teachers will learn de-escalation strategies and restorative conflict resolution methods to handle challenging classroom dynamics effectively.
Aligned with European Education Area priorities for teacher well-being, mental health awareness, and inclusive classroom environments, the program emphasizes practical application and European cross-cultural exchange.

- Analyze personal emotional triggers, self-awareness profiles, and emotional regulation strategies to maintain personal well-being and stress resilience.
- Apply active listening techniques, empathetic communication, and perspective-taking to build trust and rapport with diverse learners.
- Utilize non-verbal communication cues, positive reinforcement, and constructive feedback loops to increase student engagement and motivation.
- Implement non-confrontational de-escalation methods and emotional regulation strategies to resolve classroom conflicts and manage challenging behaviors.
- Formulate a tailored Emotional Intelligence Classroom Implementation Plan to embed socio-emotional learning (SEL) into daily subject teaching.
- Collaborate with European educators to exchange active learning methodologies, share inclusive practices, and enhance professional English communication skills.
Daily Program
DAY 1
Cross-Cultural Exchange, European Educational Context & Course Orientation
- Pre-Session work: Self Preparation to share your school’s context, cultural background and completion of the Cultural Quiz.
- Welcome Session: Networking between participants and Erasmus+ team
- Icebreaking activities and sharing of European core values.
- Open space for participants to share ideas and discuss current challenges in the Education sector; collaborative opportunity to exchange future goals (activity).

DAY 2
Foundations of Emotional Intelligence, Self-Awareness & Stress Management
- Introduction to emotional intelligence (EQ) frameworks and their impact on teaching quality and student well-being
- Self-awareness workshop: identifying personal emotional landscapes
- Self-regulation techniques.
DAY 3
Cultivating Empathy, Perspective-Taking & Active Listening
- Promoting empathy in classroom interactions and recognizing diverse student emotional needs
- Developing perspective-taking skills
- Communication studio: mastering active listening and empathetic calibration.
DAY 4
Non-Verbal Dynamics, Trust Building & Student Motivation
- Non-verbal communication cues: body language, vocal tone, impact on classroom climate
- Delivering constructive feedback, encouragement, building rapport
- Nurturing student agency through active learning.
DAY 5
Classroom Dynamics, Conflict De-Escalation & Mentorship
- Empowering students through empathetic mentorship and socio-emotional support
- Managing classroom dynamics: identifying, preventing, resolving peer conflicts
- Role-playing studio: de-escalation strategies.
DAY 6
EQ Strategy Implementation, Group Showcase & Certification
- Integrating emotional intelligence techniques into routine classroom management
- • Group work showcase: presenting participant EQ Action Plans
- • Course Roundup, Evaluation & Review
- • Erasmus documents validation and Certification.

Costs can be supported with a Key Action grant under the Erasmus+ Program. Our pricing policy follows the official regulations on transparent costs.
