Course Summary

Inclusive and international classrooms bring diversity — and complexity — to communication. Teachers face the daily challenge of making learning accessible, engaging and respectful for all. They must learn to go beyond words, building understanding with students of different cultural, linguistic, socio-economic and emotional backgrounds.

This course equips educators with practical tools for inclusive communication, using multimodal strategies (visual, verbal, non-verbal), visual supports, simplified language, storytelling, body language, and culturally responsive dialogue techniques.

Participants will explore how to adapt their communication style to students’ needs, foster participation despite language barriers, and maintain an inclusive, welcoming environment for every learner.

Through experiential activities, reflection and peer practice, participants will leave with a clear action plan to make their communication practices more inclusive, engaging, and empowering.
