Course Summary
In today’s interconnected European Education Area, English serves as the primary gateway for international mobility, cross-border school collaboration, and professional growth. This mobility course features a dual-purpose design: it provides non-native educators seeking to revitalize their own English speaking fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation with a supportive, immersive environment, while equipping language teachers with innovative, interactive techniques for classroom instruction.
Grounded in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and task-based learning principles, the program combines intensive fluency workshops with active pedagogical strategies. Participants explore current idiomatic expressions, the Lexical Approach, drama and role-play, cooperative storytelling, literature-based identity exploration, and the effective adaptation of authentic digital and cultural resources.
Through active language practice, experiential cultural discovery educators build public speaking confidence and refine their communication skills.

Learning Outcomes
- Apply Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and Lexical Approach techniques to build student speaking fluency and vocabulary retention.
- Demonstrate increased spoken English fluency, accurate pronunciation, and confidence when communicating in professional and everyday European contexts.
- Design interactive language learning activities using drama, role-play, cooperative storytelling, and authentic multimedia resources.
- Integrate literature, cultural heritage, and identity exploration into engaging, task-based language units.
- Formulate a ‘My Best Lesson’ micro-teaching unit incorporating creative language learning experiences and CEFR alignment.
- Collaborate with European educators to exchange language teaching practices, build international networks, and foster European core values.
- Improve technical and English language, communication and social skills.
Daily Program
DAY 1
Cross-Cultural Exchange, European Educational Context & Course Orientation
- Pre-Session work: Self Preparation to share your school’s context, cultural background and completion of the Cultural Quiz.
- Welcome Session: Networking between participants and Erasmus+ team
- Icebreaking activities and sharing of European core values.
- Open space for participants to share ideas and discuss current challenges in the Education sector; collaborative opportunity to exchange future goals (activity).
- Week briefing and planning.
DAY 2
Diagnostics, Fluency Foundations & Lesson Frameworks
- Learner needs analysis, diagnostic goal setting, oral fluency workshop
- Language Focus: functional spoken English for classroom management and mobility
- English in Action: project selection and lesson design.
DAY 3
Idiomatic Vocabulary, Storytelling & Drama Techniques
- Grammar in context: mastering current idiomatic language, phrasal verbs, natural expressions
- Vocabulary acquisition strategies for lexical sets
- Cooperative storytelling, short films, drama role-play.
DAY 4
Literature, Identity, Cultural Heritage & Pronunciation
- Exploring literature, personal identity, and intercultural awareness in language teaching
- Pronunciation studio: word stress, rhythm, intonation, phonological clarity
- Targeted oral fluency training.
DAY 5
Lexical Approach, Words in Context & Authentic Materials
- Grammar of words: applying the Lexical Approach and collocations
- Advanced fluency workshop: spontaneous discussion, debate, public speaking
- Adapting real-world news and digital media.
DAY 6
'My Best Lesson' Showcase, Action Planning & Certification
- Participant showcase: presentation and peer review of 'My Best Lesson' communicative units
- Strategic planning for future European cooperation and school transfer
- Course Roundup, Evaluation & Review
- Erasmus documents validation and Certification.
