Course Summary

This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability and equip them with the knowledge and skills to promote sustainable practices in their personal lives, workplaces, and communities. In today’s world, sustainability has emerged as a critical global concern, requiring individuals and organizations to take proactive steps towards a more sustainable and resilient future.

Increasing population, global warming and the current global health crisis are catalytic factors causing collateral damage to our environment and accelerating the negative effects of climate change. Research shows that the world needs to cut its emissions at least by half by 2030 and reach net zero by mid-century to prevent the worst effects of climate change.

Forging a sustainable future demands an appreciation of what’s at stake and how to protect it.

Never before in history has the future of our environment faced a more pressing issue than it is today. This generation of students will feel the effects of climate change more than any other and every student must be provided with an opportunity to study and understand the climate crisis through the school curriculum.

Climate change education is key to turning the tide on this crisis and creating a safe, sustainable world for generations to come. Remember that no step is too small and that the best way to promote change and encourage others to join the fight of our lives is by taking action and leading by example.

Join us in this transformative journey as we delve into the vital concept of sustainability and its implications for our planet’s well-being.

Reviews

This was my first experience with Erasmus + training. I am very pleased that my colleague invited me along. The topic of the training was very relevant and it was exciting to see and compare it with my experiences in my own country. We have a lot of similarities, but also a lot of differences. Regarding the training, I liked that the training days were not too long and intense, and it gave me the opportunity to meet new people and see the wonderful city of Porto.

Liina

/ Estonia

The teacher of the training did it absolutely perfect.
I hope, if I have a new training course, she will teach me again!

Diego

/ Spain

It was a very emotional experience, an opportunity to learn together!!

Grabriella

/ Italy

For first I really appreciated the high level of the organization, from first contacts to the welcome, for the empathy of the people. I really loved the contents of the course, my collegues and of course the teacher, Sara.
Thanks for all.

Antonio

The course helped me to become
more aware of the problem of sustainabilty. After it my knowledge of the
subject is much better. Our trainer also gave us somę ideas of exercises,
which can be useful in the classroom. The visit in Lipor was also really educational.
