Course Summary

Effective communication skills are critical for teachers in order to successfully interact with students, colleagues, and parents.

In this course, participants will learn how to develop their communication skills to become better educators. Through a series of interactive sessions, they will gain a deeper understanding of various communication styles, learn to express themselves clearly and effectively and explore strategies for effective listening and conflict resolution.
The Effective Communication Skills for Teachers course is designed to help educators improve their communication skills, enabling them to create a positive learning environment and build better relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Throughout the week, participants will develop a range of skills, including active listening, conflict resolution, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. By the end of the course, participants will have gained the confidence and tools they need to communicate effectively in a variety of contexts and situations, ultimately enhancing their teaching and the learning experiences of their students.

Pricing

Costs can be supported with a Key Action grant under the Erasmus+ Program. Our pricing policy follows the official regulations on transparent costs. 

Course fee: 600 euros per participant (6-day course).

What is Included?

Course Goals

The main goal of the course is for participants to develop effective communication skills.

The course focuses on bettering the classroom techniques and practical activities that teachers can use, whilst expanding their ideas so that they can teach engaging and informative lessons. The course aims to help all teachers and clarify their roles in encouraging students to become confident language users when reading, writing and talking.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the importance of effective communication in the classroom and how it impacts student learning outcomes
  • Identify and analyze different communication styles and their impact on teaching and learning
  • Develop strategies for active listening and effective questioning to better engage students and promote learning
  • Explore methods for conflict resolution and communication in difficult situations with colleagues, students, and parents
  • Learn how to give and receive constructive feedback to improve teaching and learning outcomes
  • Develop skills for delivering effective presentations and leading discussions in the classroom
  • Provide tools for more effective communication and motivate different personality types
  • Enable the participants to understand learners’ and colleagues needs
  • Acquire knowledge and tips related to delivering effective public speeches (how to effectively structure and plan a speech)
  • Empower educators to create practical & meaningful experiences
  • Improve technical and English language, communication and social skills
  • Transfer and share core values, experiences and effective teaching practices between educators from different contexts and regions
